A Vision to Begin . . .

To move towards a just, equitable, humane and sustainable society - 'Education' is one of the most important and fundamental issue.  The issues like 'Health and Nutrition'/'Livelohhod' are simultaneously important and cannot be by-sided. Creating linkages and integration among other issues with a holistic approach need to be developed for considerable and sustainable change.

  1. I agree the with the point you have mentioned but, without wage or fulfillment of basic needs like food; priority of education will be always secondary option for our country. The most important thing these educationalist should do is to look at fact of how education will be helpful for independence of individual in terms of earning and improving thinking abilities of an individual!

  2. There are two major aspects. Sustainability of life, and creation of Human Capital for fueling overall growth. Where on one hand food and nutrition are important for life to carry on, it really doesn't concern itself with the formation of skilled human capital. Although it is undeniable that without sustained life human capital cannot be formed, however, both require separate initiatives. Both should be given equal priorities, for the same goal, of inclusive growth. The neoclassical growth models have endogenous human capital which is enhanced by education only.

    1. Agree but I think Food and Nutrition does really concern with the formation of human capital as basically the growth begins from their and with this base a mind can develop to its full potential and contribute productively. Thus the point of giving equal priority to both the issues is really relevant for inclusive and sustainable growth.
